Though I have an interest in putting up a wind turbine and the tower would provide for mounting an antenna for internet wireless, that is just way too much money and time for now. Besides, the 7,320 watt array may be more than sufficient to provide power, even with clouds or during the winter. Time will tell. Currently, I’m more inclined to get a second battery than a turbine, but we’ll hafta see how things pan out.

So, my plan? It must be quick and cheap. I call Matt. Matt cuts trees. I just happen to have a tall, straight, healthy oak right where I need the wireless tower. So I have Matt come out to de-limb and top the tree. Presto – a telephone pole! One that’s high enough to get the wireless signal. That’s at least a good interim solution.
